I mostly work behind the camera to cover a given story in multiple formats, but I sometimes appear in front of the camera as well. I’m experienced in creating short-form stories, hard news packages, and in-depth long form documentaries. You can look through the diverse range of my coverage below.
Producer. We traveled to fishing towns across South Korea to hear from fishermen and their families on how the sea is getting more dangerous for them to navigate. Government investigations into the sharp increase of deaths amongst the country’s fishermen found that climate change, alongside other factors, is playing a role.
Producer. We interviewed South Korea’s President Lee Jae Myung on his foreign policies, relations with North Korea, and US-Korea trust after the recent immigration raid at a Hyundai battery plant in Georgia
Producer. We spoke to one of the Hyundai workers arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at an electric vehicle battery plant in Georgia.
Producer. We filmed inside Taesung-dong, a small village in the heart of Korea’s Demilitarised Zone – the strip of no-man’s land separating North and South Korea.
Producer. On a Halloween weekend in 2022, Seoul, nearly 160 young people were crushed to death in a narrow alleyway in the neighborhood of Itaewon. We spoke to survivors and bereaved family on the one-year-anniversary of this traumatic event.
Local Producer. I took charge of this two-times Daytime Emmy Awards nominated series’ production of its Korea episode — overseeing story development, research, permit obtainments to on-site logistics.
Producer. Mr. Kim fled North Korea by sea with his entire family - his pregnant wife, his mother, his brother's family in early 2023. They are the first people to have fled the country this year and make it to the South. Mr Kim told the BBC how he masterminded his escape, in the first interview with a defector to have got out since the pandemic.
Producer. South Korea has the lowest birth rate in the world, and it continues to plummet, beating its own staggeringly low record year after year. We spoke to three women about their decision to have or not have children.
Producer. We visited fishing villages close to North Korea to hear how the rise in tension with the North and the recent spate of missile alerts have disturbed their lives.
Local Producer. The 4B movement in South Korea represents one of the most radical rejections of patriarchy to date: no sex, no dating, no marriage, no children. We spoke to young women to learn why they’re choosing to boycott engagement with men.
Producer. South Korea's rapidly aging society presents economic and productivity challenges. We speak with government officials, recent retirees, and Korean women who hesitate about the prospect of motherhood in this society to hear what they see as the solution.
